Dani's Butt Kickin' Bloody Mary Mix
When a crazy old lady hits you in the head with her purse...and she's carrying a Colt 45 in it...that's the kind of kick you want when you drink a bloody mary. I like it spicy, and I hope you do too. Add vodka and whatever garnishes you prefer. Allow to chill for at least 8 hours so that the evil inside can mature. Drink it down, enjoy the heat, and be nice to your grandma.
True Wisconsin Bloody Mary
This is my Wisconsin version of a classic Bloody Mary drink. On special occasions, garnish with skewered bite-sized pieces of Wisconsin Cheddar, Monterey Jack, pepperoni, salami, green olives, or cocktail shrimp. Best when consumed before noon.
Bloody Maria
This Bloody Maria is a perfect example of the popular Bloody Mary with a twist, with tequila instead of vodka and Tajin seasoning instead of celery salt.
Classic Bloody Mary
A Bloody Mary is easy to make from scratch with vodka, tomato juice, and a few other simple ingredients. The spicy, salty, and savory taste of this classic cocktail makes it perfect for brunch or other afternoon gatherings.
Classic Canadian Caesar
This classic Caesar drink is very popular in Canada. Take a lick of the celery salt, then a sip of the Caesar through the straw for the proper Caesar experience.
Nanny's Newfoundland Tea Biscuits
My nanny used to make these tea biscuits all the time. One of my favorite memories of visiting Newfoundland is standing at the kitchen table as she made these and gave us a little bit of the raw dough to taste. They're light and delicious! Serve hot with butter and jam.
Tea Biscuits
These tea biscuits are a quick tea-time treat. Serve warm, buttered, and with jam or honey.
Raisin Tea Biscuits
Moist, lightly sweet raisin tea biscuits are just perfect for breakfast or a cup of tea in the afternoon. This is as close as I could get to the store bakery version. My husband and kids loved these just as much as the store-bought biscuits. We make a lactose-free version with vanilla soy milk and margarine, but have made the milk variety for others. Recipe works perfectly in both options.
Canadian Tea Biscuits
These Canadian tea biscuits are delicious with a mingling of melt-in-your-mouth flavor!
Shorecook's Chocolate Peppermint Biscotti
A rich chocolate biscotti mixed with the flavor of peppermint. These are sized just like the ones you get in the coffee shop. When wrapped in cellophane bags, they are perfect for bake sales.
Anisette Biscotti
My great-great-aunt Josie created this recipe and handed it down through the family. The anise seed and anisette give it an authentic Italian flavor. A bit labor intensive, but they are so worth it! Great for dunking in tea or coffee, or just munching on. I double the recipe and give them out for Christmas every year.
Nutty Pina Colada Biscotti
A refreshing biscotti reminiscent of the tropical drink. Great with tea or coffee! I never really measure the ingredients after rum but I've tried to approximate for you... My friends LOVE this recipe!
