Steamed Christmas Pudding
The variations on this are endless because the filling can be any combination of mincemeat, pumpkin and/or cranberry sauce, but here's my favorite combination.
Chef John's Peach Melba
Peach Melba is a classic dessert made by poaching peaches in a sweet vanilla syrup. The peaches are served on top of vanilla ice cream and topped with a smooth homemade raspberry sauce for an impressive summer dessert.
Moist Peach Upside Down Cake
This moist cake made with Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk is filled with peaches and a sweet caramel sauce to create that classic summertime taste.
Rhubarb Compote Cake
This cake recipe with a rhubarb sauce (aka compote) was handed down to me from my grandmother and is one of my favorites — I used to help her pick the rhubarb.
Apple Bundt Cake
This moist apple Bundt cake is especially nice to make when apples are in season for a delicious fall treat. Great for brunch or top with salted caramel sauce and serve with a dollop of whipped cream for a special dessert.
Mexican Wedding Cake
This fruity tropical cake has a milky sauce soaked into it, making it very moist and delicious.
Blueberry Lemon Shortcake
I created this dessert for a company bake off, and it won first place! Light, tangy and not too sweet, this dessert is quick and easy to make. The blueberry sauce and lemon curd can be prepared ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Top with whipped cream and fresh blueberries.
Chocolate Coconut Cake from King Arthur Flour
Without embellishment, this dense, moist, gluten-free chocolate cake made with coconut flour is a perfect snack to serve with coffee. With the addition of whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and/or raspberry jam, it becomes a decadent dessert for any occasion.
Upside-Down Coffee Cake
This is a gorgeous moist and gooey coffee cake! Use any type of fresh or frozen fruit, or combination of 2 fruits. Peach, cherry, blackberry and/or red raspberry are some of the best. The deep baking pan is required due to the bubbling caramel sauce and the height of the cake. Every time I serve it I get rave reviews!
'Unstuffed' Cabbage with a Kick
This is an alteration on a typical stuffed cabbage recipe. It's healthy, low-fat, low-carb, and a bit spicy. You can't go wrong with this recipe! You may omit the red pepper and cayenne if you do not like spicy foods, or increase like we do! We serve this over brown rice to make it more of a whole meal. We love it! I used roasted garlic-flavored tomato sauce for extra 'kick.'
Norwegian Cabbage Rolls
Velkommen! My take on traditional Norwegian kålruletter. My girlfriend likes the way I make them. I use a little less potato starch and throw some caraway seeds and rice in the filling, leaving a more meaty texture and a bit more flavor, in my opinion. Serve with brunsaus (brown gravy), rice, and boiled potatoes. Agurksalat (cucumber salad) is a great accompaniment to this dish.
Rustic Caramel-Apple Tart
Using a variety of apples in this rustic caramel-apple tart-such as Fuji, Gala, and Granny Smith- provides balanced flavor. Serve with a drizzle of warmed high-quality caramel sauce.
