Slow Cooker Roast Beef in its own Gravy
This is my go-to recipe for pot roast on a busy weekday. It uses inexpensive cuts of meat, made posh by the slow cooker. After years of tweaking others' recipes, I think I found a good mix of high-quality pot roast while still being very quick and easy.
Beef Wellington
This beef Wellington recipe makes an impressive beef tenderloin wrapped in puff pastry and includes how to make a rich red wine sauce to serve with it. It's easier than you think to make and perfect for holiday entertaining! The beef tenderloin is best served medium-rare.
Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze
This is the best filet mignon recipe for an elegant dinner for two. Red wine and balsamic vinegar make a wonderfully rich sauce to serve with the steak. Delicious with steamed asparagus and baby red potatoes.
Filet Mignon with Bacon Cream Sauce
A bacon cream sauce accompanies amazing, easy-to-make filet mignon.
Roast Beef Tenderloin
The secret to tender roast beef tenderloin is roasting it in a slow oven, which allows for a gentle roasting, and produces an even, rosy hue throughout the muscle. Another tip is roasting the beef on top of the pan sauce, which not only flavors the meat, but also humidifies the oven for a moist, aromatic cooking environment.
Beef Medallions with Caramelized Pan Sauce
Beef medallions with caramelized pan sauce is one of those dishes that unless someone watched you make it, they'd never believe how fast and simple it is to prepare. By the way, this wonderful sauce would work just as well with pork, veal, or chicken.
Marinated Boneless Chuck Steak
Each bite of tender steak bursts with savory goodness, thanks to a rich marinade that infuses the meat and veggies with layers of mouth-watering flavors.
Rigatoni alla Genovese
I have no idea why the amazingly flavorful "salsa genovese" (Genoa-style pasta sauce) with meat isn't way more popular than it is. It's quite simply one of the best pasta sauces you'll ever taste, thanks to a very slow cooking process and massive amounts of onions.
Chipotle Barbacoa
This chipotle barbacoa is as close to a certain big chain's version as I have ever made. It is full of intense flavors such as garlic, cayenne, and sweet, smoky chipotle. Make sure you scale down the cayenne and serrano if you can't handle the heat because this recipe is packin' lots of it! Serve on corn or flour tortillas garnished with cilantro and topped with lime cilantro rice (from this website), black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream.
Beef Birria
This beef birria is one of the best stews ever. I'm really excited to show you this recipe because after we enjoy this in stew form, we're doing a follow-up video using this to make some of the most incredible tacos you've ever had. If you like beef stew and you're a fan of chili, you're going to go nuts over this. Serve with lime wedges as-is or with warm flour tortillas, chili oil, salsa, and diced avocado next to some Spanish rice and a nice green salad.
Barbacoa
A simple barbacoa, perfectly seasoned with chiles and spices and slow cooked until tender. Serve on tortillas with salsa, rice, beans or other accoutrements.
Poutine Gravy
As the old joke goes, it takes a lot of time and effort to make poutine, but at least when you're finally done you get to eat soggy fries. And, what incredibly delicious, soggy fries they are. While I don't have any problem with you buying the cheese curds, or using frozen fries, I do hope you make the sauce from scratch. Use beef chuck, short rib, or brisket to achieve this marvelously meaty, super savory, ridiculously rich gravy that makes all the sogginess worth it.
