Skyline Lentil Chili
Serve Skyline lentil chili over spaghetti topped with chopped onion, finely shredded Cheddar cheese, kidney beans, and Tabasco sauce. I used to love Skyline Cincinnati-style chili. When I went vegetarian, I created this Skyline lentil chili recipe to give me that Skyline taste. I use green or black lentils as the protein, whereas standard Cincinnati-style chili uses ground meat. Even though I've gone back to eating meat, this is still my preferred way to get my Skyline fix.
Lauren's Cincinnati Chili
I have searched far and wide for a recipe that compares to Goldstar or Skyline chili, to no avail. Finally, I took a number of decent recipes and blended them together with the help of a former Goldstar Chili employee. It's still not the same, but it feeds my cravings. The most important things about the chili is how you prepare the beef and the cinnamon and chocolate. I recommend refrigerating the chili overnight. It always tastes better the next day.
Chuck's Come On Ice Cream (or Night of the Red Death) Chili
Beef and pork sirloin rubbed with many seasonings, marinated, then simmered with tomato, onion, garlic, salsa and the right bite of jalapeno chile peppers. Come on, ice cream! The best chili I have ever tasted. My cousin Chuck's recipe. The secret is in the meat seasoning! A must for any chili lover!
Chili Rick's
Easy chili recipe for a large number of people.
Oktoberfest Chili
This hearty Oktoberfest chili recipe has a German take with a little kick.
Big Game Day Chili
The first time I tried this chili I was floored! It has wonderful flavors, and is very spicy and very addictive. If you don't like heat, adjust the ingredients. It's perfect at a football tailgate party or picnic. If you like a roasted flavor, bake the garlic before pressing it. For the beer, a hoppy pale ale works well, as does a dark stout. I've also experimented with adding a cup of coffee to the mix to give it a roasted coffee flavor. It also freezes well.
Chili with Chorizo and Chocolate
The smokiness of the bacon and liquid smoke complements the spiciness of the chorizo and sweetness of the chocolate in this chili. Just like any other chili, this is better the next day. Serve with a dollop of cilantro sour cream or some chocolate shavings.
The Cheesecake Factory Santa Fe Salad
A Southwestern Santa Fe salad at The Cheesecake Factory happens to be my absolute favorite.
Chicken Parmesan Pasta
This chicken Parmesan pasta is the perfect dish to lure kids into the kitchen โ what kid doesn't like crispy chicken and spaghetti? This recipe makes twice the sauce needed, so freeze half for another meal.
Thai Chicken Meatball Noodle Soup
Enjoy a warm and aromatic bowl of soup infused with Thai flavors. Thai food typically is spicy, so adjust the heat level to your preference with the amount of red curry paste. Garnish with sliced green onions and cilantro.
Great-Aunt Nina's Noodles and Chicken
To a slow cooker chicken, I added an old family noodle recipe. If you want it to be more like a soup, add another quart of broth. This was a fixture at family reunions when I was a child, and the slow cooker makes it even easier.
Chicken Marsala Meatballs
I just love meatballs and these are a prefect spring dinner. I served over sauteed spinach and Oh my God amazing! These were ready in 30 minutes and a perfect one-pot dinner.
