This 3-ingredient chocolate cherry dump cake could not be easier! Just pie filling, chocolate cake mix, and butter—you'll have it ready to bake before you can say, 'preheated oven'.
Ingredients
- 2 cans cherry pie filling , 21 ounce
- 1 box chocolate cake mix , 15.25 ounce
- 0.5 cups butter
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Pour pie filling into a 9x13-inch baking dish.

-
3
Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden brown and bubbly, about 45 minutes. Let stand at least 5 minutes before serving.

Chef John's Classic Strawberry Shortcake
For this strawberry shortcake recipe, I modified the way my grandfather made his and used self-rising flour and toasted butter for a nutty flavor. I'm hoping Armand Cianfoni would approve.
Crissi's Sweet Potato Biscuits
Yummy sweet potato biscuits that rival Steamer's biscuits in Chincoteague, Virginia. You'll taste no better than this! My family hates sweet potatoes, but they snatch these up every time I make them! You could also substitute pumpkin for the sweet potato and cardamom for the nutmeg.
Nanny's Newfoundland Tea Biscuits
My nanny used to make these tea biscuits all the time. One of my favorite memories of visiting Newfoundland is standing at the kitchen table as she made these and gave us a little bit of the raw dough to taste. They're light and delicious! Serve hot with butter and jam.
