This apple dump cake was one of the first things I made when I was learning to bake, and I still make it for parties. It calls for just three ingredients, is super quick and easy to make, and is a real crowd-pleaser. A dollop of vanilla ice cream tops it very well.
Ingredients
- 2 cans apple pie filling , 21 ounce
- 1 package yellow cake mix , 15.25 ounce
- 0.5 cups butter , melted
Instructions
-
1
Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
-
2
Pour apple pie filling into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over pie filling and top with melted butter.
-
3
Bake in the preheated oven until the top starts to turn golden brown and apple filling is bubbling, about 40 minutes. Cool dump cake for about 15 minutes.
-
4
Serve warm and enjoy!

Ba'corn Cheese Corn
This bacon-studded "cheese corn" is a popular bar snack in Korea, made of pure bacon-y, creamy, cheesy, corny decadence. The original recipe combines mayonnaise and sweetened condensed milk, but we're going with heavy cream here for a lighter approach. This may be the first time in my career that I've "lightened up" a recipe by adding a cup of heavy cream. Garnished with green onions, this would be amazing with a cold beer!
Spicy-Sweet Buffalo Popcorn
If Buffalo wings and kettle corn married, this would be their baby! This popcorn is sweet, salty, and spicy all at the same time! It's a winner for football parties. If you like blue cheese, try sprinkling a few blue cheese crumbles over your serving of popcorn. I put a small bowl of blue cheese crumbles next to the popcorn bowl so people can add some if they wish.
Irish Soda Bread IV
Soda bread when eaten warm and topped with butter can't be beaten. The sour cream is not necessary but makes a better-textured bread.
