Pear applesauce? Papplesauce? Appearsauce? When the apple-pear sauce is served warm, you will not need any additional sugar. As it cools it loses some of the natural sweetness, and you might want to add sugar to taste.
Ingredients
- 4 pears , cut into chunks
- 3 apples , cut into chunks
- 0.5 cups water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.25 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
-
1
Heat a skillet over medium heat; add pears, apples, water, and vanilla extract to the hot skillet. Cover and simmer fruit mixture for 10 minutes; remove lid and cook until most of liquid is evaporated and fruit is softened, 10 to 15 more minutes.
-
2
Remove skillet from heat and transfer fruit mixture and any remaining liquid to a food processor. Process until smooth; stir in cinnamon. Serve warm or refrigerate up to 4 days.

Slow Cooker Vegetable and Ground Turkey Soup
This ground turkey soup with tomatoes, zucchini, and carrots is flavored with lemon and garlic. Pour soup over spinach in serving bowls, to keep spinach a bright green color. Delicious topped with shredded Parmesan.
Festive Fall Turkey Salad
I created this recipe to use leftover holiday turkey. It's a classic bound salad using mayonnaise and celery, but it also includes fresh cranberries, orange juice and cashews. Although new to our menu, it has become a holiday favorite. My family requests I make my own turkey before Thanksgiving so I can serve this salad as an appetizer at our holiday feast. I hope you will find it as enjoyable as we do. Enjoy it on rolls, in wraps, or as a spread with crackers.
Grilled Yellow Squash
This grilled squash is a tasty way to use up all the yellow squash you have pouring out of your garden every summer. I also do this same thing with zucchini.
