This blackened tuna recipe is very simple but it's my favorite way to have tuna. Seared fish steaks are a Cajun tradition.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds fresh tuna steaks , 1 inch thick
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
-
1
Generously coat tuna steaks on both sides with Cajun seasoning.
-
2
Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over high heat until nearly smoking.
-
3
Arrange tuna steaks in the skillet and cook until blackened on one side, about 3 to 4 minutes. Flip and cook until desired doneness is reached, 3 to 4 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium-rare.

This truck-stop buttermilk pancake recipe is a yummy breakfast treat and very easy to make! Serve them with bacon or sausage and some fried eggs โ they're wonderful! The batter will keep in the fridge for a couple of days if you can't make it all at once, or you can freeze it and make it later.

This is a chicken casserole with a crispy crunchy potato chip topping. It is easy to make and tastes wonderful.
Sea Salt Caramel Budino
It sounds fancy, but budino simply means 'pudding' in Italian. This one is layered with shortbread crumbs and caramel, so if you dig deep, you get a sweet surprise in every bite. If you like, reserve about 2 tablespoons of the crushed cookies to sprinkle on top.
