Savory Palmiers
These savory palmiers are appealing on so many levels. The combination of bacon, Gruyere, and caramelized onion in crisp puff pastry is delicious, and these appetizer pastries are beautiful as well.
Tomato and Bacon Jam
My mom got a jar of this homemade tomato bacon jam from her best friend who is a Southern girl at heart. It is a sweet and smoky flavor that you'll never forget. Delicious on a grilled cheese sandwich or on scrambled eggs.
Corn Chowder I
Warm and soothing corn chowder with the salty bite of crisp bacon. This warms up well in the microwave and even tastes better a day old. I also freeze it in small batches. This makes a big pot of chowder but, it can easily be cut in half.
