Savory mini Brie cheese, apple, and walnut tarts are drizzled with a thyme-infused caramel and finished with a sprinkling of flaky salt.

- 1 tablespoon butter
- 0.5 cups onion
- 1 cup apple
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 package baked miniature phyllo tart shells , 1.9 ounce
- 3 ounces Brie cheese , or as needed, rind removed
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

Arrange tart shells on prepared baking sheet. Cut Brie into 15 small pieces and put one piece into each shell. Evenly fill with apple mixture. Sprinkle with walnuts.
-
4
Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and tart shells are golden, 12 to 15 minutes.
-
5
Meanwhile, stir together caramel sauce and thyme in a small bowl. Microwave until warmed, about 15 seconds. Drizzle tarts with caramel mixture and garnish with flaky salt.
