Simple homemade Cheddar popcorn can be made with just 3 ingredients. Unlike popcorn from a bag or tin, this is hot and fresh. I've been making this since I was a kid. It got me in trouble though, because I used to snag the packet from the boxed mac and cheese in the pantry. Thankfully, they sell the Cheddar powder on its own now.
Ingredients
- 0.25 cups vegetable oil
- 0.75 cups popcorn
- 2 tablespoons heddar cheese powder
Instructions
-
1
Place oil in a large stock pot over medium-high heat. Place 3 popcorn kernels in the pot. Cover.
-
2
Wait for all 3 kernels to pop. Add remaining popcorn kernels. Cover the pot with a lid and cook until two seconds go by and kernels are no longer popping, about 3 minutes.
-
3
Transfer popped corn to a large bowl. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon Cheddar cheese powder over popcorn; toss. Sprinkle remaining 1 tablespoon cheese powder over popcorn; toss again. Serve immediately.

Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
These cinnamon rolls are made from scratch with a yeast dough. The rolls rest overnight which means they always come out big, fluffy, and moist. I found this recipe a few years back and tweaked the filling and cream cheese icing. Hands down, these are the best homemade cinnamon rolls you'll ever make!
Top Shelf Sparkling Margarita Jell-O
For grown-ups only. This recipe is my closest attempt at duplicating the awesome flavor of a cold margarita. It's sweet, tart, salty, and packs a punch. Garnish each serving with a lime wedge. You seriously only need one of these.
Apple and Coconut Milk Cupcakes
Light and moist dairy-free cupcakes with a pleasant aroma that I invented on the spot. They are delicious, not too sweet, and easy to make. Top with your frosting of choice or serve as-is.
