This is a great beverage for cold afternoons and evenings created by my husband. The name comes from our next door neighbor, who says it makes him feel warm and fuzzy when he drinks it! It also makes your house smell fabulous while it is simmering on the stove!
Ingredients
- 7 cups apple cider
- 0.33 cups brown sugar
- 4 cinnamons sticks
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1.5 cups dark rum
- 0.5 cups butterscotch schnapps

Combine the cider and brown sugar in a saucepan. Wrap the cinnamon sticks, allspice, cloves and lemon zest in cheesecloth and add to the cider mixture; bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Remove the spice bundle and stir in the rum and butterscotch schnapps. Serve warm in mugs.
