This is a simple broccoli recipe that's deliciously garlicky and only takes a few minutes to make.
Ingredients
- 1 pound broccoli , separated into florets
- 2 tablespoons water
- 4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice , divided
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
-
1
Place broccoli florets in a large skillet over medium heat. Mix water and 2 teaspoons lemon juice together in a small bowl; pour mixture over broccoli. Cover and steam until broccoli is bright green and tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
-
2
Meanwhile, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat; stir in garlic and salt. Reduce heat to low and sauté garlic until golden brown, about 8 minutes.
-
3
Drain cooked broccoli and return to skillet; sprinkle with remaining 2 teaspoons lemon juice; stir in garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle broccoli with black pepper and toss to combine.

Instant Pot Butternut Squash and Pumpkin Spice Soup
This always reminds me of fall. It's a creamy, but dairy-free, squash and pumpkin soup with holiday spices. It also happens to be paleo, and without the honey it's Whole30 friendly too! I make this in my Instant Pot pressure cooker where I just leave it under pressure for 15 minutes, puree, and it's ready. If you don't have a pressure cooker, there are also directions for using a medium or large pot below. Garnish with roasted, salted pumpkin seeds.
Chef John's Caramel Apple Pie
To me, this caramel apple pie is the purest and most intensely flavored apple pie there is. The interesting thing about this recipe is the way the caramel sauce is poured over the apples and the lattice crust, caramelizing as it bakes.
Best Rolls Ever!
A yeast-roll recipe which uses self-rising flour for the most airy, delicious rolls ever! Note: the secret to these light and airy rolls is NOT punching down the dough and NOT kneading it, plus the added lift the self-rising flour gives.
