This French silk pie is delicious. I have been making this recipe for over 25 years. Use a chocolate pie crust for even more chocolaty flavor. Garnish each slice with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cups butter , room temperature
- 0.75 cups white sugar
- 2 , 1 ounce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 , 8-inch

Beat butter in a mixing bowl with an electric mixer; gradually beat in sugar until light colored and well blended. Stir in cooled chocolate and vanilla extract. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 5 minutes on medium speed after each addition. Spoon the chocolate filling into prepared baked pie shell.

Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
