These simple sauteed mushrooms work as a quick, weeknight side dish. To turn them into a main course, toss with cooked pasta and a generous handful of Parmesan cheese or fold into an omelet with Gruyere, fontina or Swiss cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce bacon , chopped
- 1.5 pounds mixed mushrooms , stemmed
- 2 cloves garlic , finely chopped
- 1.5 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
- 0.25 teaspoons salt
- 1 pinch freshly ground pepper to taste
- 0.25 cups dry white wine
Instructions

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until just beginning to brown, about 4 minutes. Add mushrooms, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until almost dry, 8 to 10 minutes. Pour in wine and cook until most of the liquid has evaporated, 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers
These jalapeño poppers are creamy in the middle with crispy bacon on the outside. They're super easy to make and taste so much better than traditional poppers.
Thin and Crispy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
These thin, crispy oatmeal cookies taste like those from Tate's Bake Shop. The published Tate's recipe on YouTube does not taste like the cookies you buy in the store in the green bag. This is the closest I've come to simulating the oatmeal raisin flavor.
Gnocchi with Pomodoro Sauce
Fluffy potato dumplings sautéed for a crispy exterior and tender interior with a simple tomato sauce. I used the oil from the marinated mozzarella ball container for the sauce with great success.
