Grandma Rosie's extra-smooth spaghetti sauce is a mild, sweet, super-smooth pasta sauce that has become a family favorite! It makes a great sauce for meatballs. I recommend adding them and letting the entire pot simmer and meld. And remember, the bay leaf is lucky!
Ingredients
- 1 can tomato juice , 46 fluid ounce
- 1 can tomato paste , 6 ounce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 0.75 teaspoons dried basil
- 0.75 teaspoons salt
- 0.5 teaspoons dried marjoram

Combine tomato juice, tomato paste, brown sugar, oregano, garlic, bay leaf, basil, salt, and marjoram in a large pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cover. Simmer until thickened, about 45 minutes.
