This grilled tri-tip recipe with a tasty dry rub tastes gourmet but is actually very easy to make. It's a perfect dinner for guests. It is sure to impress!
Ingredients
- 4 pounds tri-tip roast
- 4 cloves garlic , peeled and very thinly sliced
- 0.33 cups salt
- 0.33 cups black pepper
- 0.33 cups garlic salt or to taste
Instructions
-
1
Using a sharp knife, cut small slits in the top of the roast; insert garlic slices into the slits.
-
2
Mix salt, pepper, and garlic salt together in a small bowl; rub all over the tri-tip and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 1 day. Remove tri-tip from the refrigerator about 20 minutes before grilling.
-
3
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate.
-
4
Place the meat directly above the flame to sear the meat and lock in the juices, about 5 to 10 minutes per side.
-
5
Turn the grill down to medium heat and continue to cook, turning occasionally, for another 25 to 30 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) for medium-rare. Let stand, covered loosely with aluminum foil, for 5 minutes before slicing.

This Mexican enchiladas recipe is the real thing. Corn tortillas are dipped in a homemade sauce, fried, filled with Mexican queso fresco, then topped with sour cream, lettuce, and tomato. My mother-in-law is from Mexico and taught me to make this delicious dish. Serve with traditional refried beans. It has a taste different from the norm โ so good!
Ultimate Butter Pound Cake
This recipe is for a moist, rich, dense vanilla butter pound cake that looks beautiful and tastes heavenly. My family requests it often. The ingredients are simple and basic, and making it is a snap. It really is the ultimate served with strawberries and whipped cream!
Green Tomato Mincemeat
This makes about 30 pints of mincemeat. Have on hand 30 (1-pint) canning jars with brand-new rings and lids. Reusing old lids is not recommended. A delicious way to use green tomatoes. The recipe came from my grandfather, and our family has been making it forever. Use straight from the jar for pies, cookies, muffins, or cake.
