Serve this delicious lemon tahini yogurt sauce with falafel in pitas or with fresh vegetables. This recipe is best if made a few hours in advance, but it can be served immediately. I chop the garlic, and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before adding the remaining ingredients. This increases the amount of allicin, a compound shown to have antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and antiprotozoal activity.

- 3 cloves garlic , or more to taste
- 2 tablespoons tahini , or more to taste
- 1 container plain yogurt , 8 ounce
- 1 lemon , zested and juiced
- 0.5 teaspoons ground cumin
- salt to taste

Place garlic cloves in a blender or the bowl of a food processor; process until minced. Add tahini; process about 3 seconds. Add yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, and cumin; process until smooth. Season with salt. Transfer to a serving dish.
