These delicious loaded sour cream & onion waffle fries are made from crisp-baked frozen waffle fries, tossed with a homemade sour cream and onion seasoning, then topped with melted cheese, bacon, green onions, and sour cream.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons powdered buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoons onion powder
Instructions
-
1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees (230 degrees C).
-
2
Mix powdered buttermilk, garlic powder, parsley, sugar, salt, and onion powder together in a small bowl until combined.
-
3
Place frozen waffles in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle with sour cream and onion mix and toss to coat evenly. Spread waffle fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
-
4
Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden and crispy, 20 to 26 minutes, or according to package directions.
-
5
Meanwhile, place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon on a paper towel-lined plate. Crumble and set aside.
-
6
Remove waffle fries from the oven and sprinkle evenly with Cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
-
7
Return fries to the oven; bake until cheese is melted, about 3 minutes. Top with green onions and sour cream. Serve immediately.
