These Sprite margaritas are the best I've ever tasted — they look, smell, and taste more "pure" than any others I've had. A successful and upscale Mexican cantina nearby makes them. I always assumed they were using all top-shelf ingredients until I found out their secret: lemon-lime soda! Now I'm able to recreate them at home.
Ingredients
- 1 pinch kosher salt for rimming glasses
- ice cubes
- 0.5 cups silver tequila
- 0.25 cups sweetened lime juice , such as Rose's®
- 0.25 cups triple sec
- 0.25 cups lemon-lime soda , or to taste
Instructions
-
1
Rim 2 margarita glasses with salt, if desired, and fill with ice. Pour tequila, sweetened lime juice, triple sec, and lemon-lime soda into a shaker filled with ice, hold your hand firmly over the top of the shaker so it doesn't pop off from the carbonated soda. Shake vigorously. Pour into prepared margarita glasses, and serve.
