A creamy and light buttercream frosting with natural vanilla flavor for your cakes or cupcakes. Make sure the ingredients are at room temperature to ensure a smooth texture.
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter , at room temperature
- 0.75 cups mascarpone cheese , at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Madagascar vanilla paste
Instructions
-
1
Place powdered sugar and butter in an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Start mixing on the lowest speed. Increase speed to medium and beat until fluffy, scraping down the sides occasionally, about 3 minutes.
-
2
Add mascarpone cheese and vanilla paste; mix on medium-low until creamy. Do not overmix frosting at this point, or the butter and mascarpone could separate.

Bavarian Cream
This Bavarian cream is from my great-grandmother's recipe book.
Quick Mango Salsa
A fruity salsa, great with pita chips. One guy I know was gonna pay me to make this for him. I like to let mine sit for at least an hour and give it a stir every so often. However, if you want to eat it right away.
Scacce Ragusane (Sicilian Stuffed Flatbread)
This is my first attempt ever at this incredibly unique and delicious Sicilian stuffed flatbread (scacce Ragusane) recipe. What we have here is a very familiar pizza-like flavor profile, but the delivery system is unlike anything you've ever experienced. The outside edges are crispy and crunchy while that saucy and cheesy center is much like pasta in texture. So, while this is vaguely similar to a lot of things, it's really unlike anything else.
