These cream cheese mashed potatoes are simple, delicious, and great for everyday and special meals, such as Thanksgiving. This recipe has traveled from coast to coast through family members who try it and fall in love!
Ingredients
- 5 medium russet potatoes , scrubbed and quartered
- 1 package cream cheese , 8 ounce
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon salted butter
- salt to taste

Gather the ingredients.

Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and transfer to a bowl.

While potatoes are still hot and steaming, add cream cheese, milk, butter, and salt.

Blend with an electric hand mixer until creamy and smooth.
