These no-bake peanut butter cookies were always served for school lunch. After marrying, I got the recipe from one of the cooks and have made it many times. This cookie is sometimes made with cocoa powder, but I like this recipe better; it doesn't use any.
Ingredients
- 3 cups white sugar
- 0.75 cups butter
- 0.75 cups milk
- 1.5 cups peanut butter
- 0.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4.5 cups quick-cooking oats

Gather all ingredients.

Combine sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan over medium heat.

Bring to a rapid boil and boil for 1 minute.

Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla.

Mix in oats, stirring until mixture begins to cool. (Transfer mixture to a large bowl if ingredients overflow.)

Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.

Let cool until set. Serve and enjoy!
