Rice Krispies treats made even better with peanut butter. My aunt used to make these when I was a little girl. I think they are a nice change from pure marshmallow treats.
Ingredients
- 6 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
-
1
In a medium sauce pan, mix together sugar, peanut butter, and corn syrup. Be careful not to let it burn, or it will ruin the recipe. Stir mixture until well melted. Remove pan from heat.
-
2
Combine warm peanut butter mixture with crisp rice cereal.
-
3
Grease well a 9x13 inch pan with butter or margarine. Spread mixture in pan. Allow to cool. When mixture is no longer sticky to the touch, cut into bars.

Salmon Couscous Salad
This salmon couscous salad recipe features salmon, couscous, and arugula salad layered in a bowl and drizzled with homemade pesto dressing for a unique presentation. This dish is a nod to a dish I tried at a local restaurant.
Puerto Rican Mondongo
This simple, nourishing stew of tripe and vegetables is found in innumerable variations throughout Latin America and around the Caribbean. On the islands of Aruba and Curaçao, it is known as sopi mondongo. Cooking Puerto Rican food is a bit similar to Island and Spain cuisine; it has a distinctive flavor combined with foreign influences using native seasonings and ingredients. Serve in deep bowls with white rice and avocados.
Quick Peanut Butter Cookies
I had to make cookies at the last minute for a school function and a friend gave me this quick and easy recipe. From start to finish, this only takes about 30-45 minutes and the taste is like you spent hours in the kitchen. You might want to make a double batch, because they will be gone before you know it. ENJOY!!
