Pickled red onions in red wine vinegar are easy to make! This tangy little condiment will spice up any dish.
Ingredients
- 1 medium red onion , finely chopped
- 0.5 cups red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
- 1.5 tablespoons salt
- 2 teaspoons white sugar

Combine onion, both vinegars, salt, and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and allow mixture to steep until onion is tender, about 20 minutes.

Cool for at least 30 minutes, then strain and serve.
