These tasty steamed pork dumplings have a ground pork filling flavored with fresh ginger and garlic. Serve with hoisin sauce, hot Chinese-style mustard, and toasted sesame seeds. They're perfect for a party appetizer or as a main dish.
Ingredients
- 100 wontons wrappers , 3.5 inch square
- 1.75 pounds ground pork
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
- 4 cloves garlic , minced
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 egg , beaten
- 5 cups finely shredded Chinese cabbage
Instructions
-
1
Combine pork, ginger, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg and cabbage in a large bowl. Stir until well mixed.
-
2
Place 1 heaping teaspoon of pork filling onto each wonton skin. Moisten edges with water and fold edges over to form a triangle shape. Roll edges slightly to seal in filling. Set dumplings aside on a lightly floured surface until ready to cook.
-
3
Arrange dumplings in a covered bamboo or metal steamer so they don't touch to prevent them from sticking together; steam until pork is cooked through, about 15 minutes.
-
4
Serve hot and enjoy!

It is a wonton filled with cream cheese, jalapeno, onion, salmon, and chili powder. My husband thought it sounded weird, but then ate one and loved them!
Candy Apple Butter
A slightly sweet and sassy apple butter kids are sure to love! Cinnamon oil and red food coloring may be used in place of the candies. If using the cinnamon oil and omitting brown sugar this becomes a healthier tasty treat your kids won't know is good for them! My kids love this on buttered bread, warm atop french toast, or on ice cream.
Creamy Limoncello
A delicious lemony treat without the bite of regular limoncello. This makes great Christmas gifts!
