Beef Mushroom Barley Soup
Family favorite. It kind of turns into a type of stew as the barley soaks up much of the beef stock. Best part is that it gets better with age, so make plenty and enjoy throughout the week! It's always better the second day, so you might want to cook it one day, refrigerate it overnight, and then cook it again the next day.
Beef, Mushroom, and Guinness Pie
A delicious traditional beef and mushroom pie flavored with Guinness beer, garlic, and fresh thyme for rich flavor. Always a favorite in Irish pubs!
Creamy Southern Shrimp and Cheese Grits
I came up with this recipe when I couldn't find anything else that would satisfy my cravings for a gourmet shrimp and grits without spending a ton of money at restaurants. This is simple and delicious, and is made with things we mostly all have in our homes. Use chicken stock in grits, if you prefer.
