This raisin bread casserole tastes good for breakfast, just like French toast. It's easy to make, too. Serve warm with maple syrup on top.
Ingredients
- 5 cups cubed cinnamon raisin bread
- 1.5 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 0.25 cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons softened butter , cut into chunks
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly butter an 8x8-inch baking dish.
-
2
Pour bread cubes into the prepared dish.
-
3
Beat milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla together in a large bowl until evenly mixed; pour mixture over bread cubes. Arrange butter chunks atop bread mixture. Set aside for bread to absorb liquid, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon.
-
4
Bake in the preheated oven until top is golden, 45 to 50 minutes.

My Mom's Lemon Meringue Pie
This is my mother's lemon meringue pie recipe and it is one of my all time favorite desserts. You can add a bit more lemon zest if you want it to be more tart! Don't let pie cool before putting on meringue.
Pulled Pork Pancakes
It's really too bad that Father's Day brunch isn't a thing because if it was, these pulled pork pancakes would be an amazing dish to serve. While I don't know your dad, I do know he'd like this. You can also add maple syrup and butter to each pancake layer if you want to make it even more delicious.
