Okinawa Shoyu Pork
I think the Okinawans got the slow food concept right. Okinawa shoyu pork was one of my favorite recipes growing up. Shoyu pork is eaten over rice or on top of soba noodles. The soy sauce-marinated, slow-cooked pork has just the right amount of sweet taste (imagine Okinawan brown sugar). It is pretty close to perfect.
Spicy Korean Chicken
Marinated in a flavorful mixture of sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, and gochujang (Korean chile paste), these chicken thighs are slightly spicy and slightly sweet.
Plum and Pecan Muffins
These plum and pecan muffins are loaded with fruit, so you'll get a taste of plum in every bite. The pecans and ginger bring additional layers of flavor to the sweet, ripe plums.
