This simple dry rub seasoned pan-fried cod comes together in flash and tastes like it is straight off the grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons onion powder
  • 0.13 teaspoons celery seed
  • 2 ounce) cod filets , patted dry
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley , optional

Instructions

    Add smoked paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and celery seed to a bowl; stir until evenly combined. Season cod filets on all sides with mixture and place on a plate.

    Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add cod and fry for 3 minutes.

    Turn filets over, add lemon juice, and fry until cod flakes easily with a fork, about 2 minutes more. Transfer to a serving plate; garnish with parsley.
