Microwave Bread-and-Butter Pickles
This microwave bread-and-butter pickles recipe is like a bread and butter pickle, and really super easy. You can even play with the proportions a bit; I like to increase the vinegar, salt, and spices, or you could make it sweeter. Be prepared to make this one over and over if you have any pickle lovers in the house.
Apple Fritter Pancakes
Apple fritter pancakes make a wonderful breakfast topped with some warmed maple syrup and served with some breakfast meats. You can use any type of apple for this recipe—I used Honeycrisp (Fuji works great, too), but the sweeter the better. If you are using a tart apple, add another tablespoon of sugar.
Chinese Steamed Daikon Cake
A traditional Chinese New Year favorite, this classic dish can also be enjoyed throughout the year. This is my adaptation of my grandmother's recipe. This recipe is absolutely delicious! Serve immediately plain, or with hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, or chili sauce.
