This Cornish hen recipe is my fiancé's favorite slow cooker meal, served with veggies over wild rice. For a larger portion, simply split the hens lengthwise after cooking to serve four.
Ingredients
- 2 Cornishs game hens
- 1 can golden mushroom soup , 10.5 ounce
- 2 cups chopped baby portobello mushrooms
- 1 large zucchini , chopped
- 1 jar pimento-stuffed green olives , 7 ounce
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
Instructions
-
1
Coat hens with about 1/4 mushroom soup.
-
2
Combine remaining 3/4 mushroom soup, portobello mushrooms, zucchini, olives, and garlic salt in a bowl; stuff mixture inside hens. Arrange hens, breast-sides up, in a slow cooker. Spoon any remaining soup mixture over hens.
-
3
Cover slow cooker. Cook on High for 4 hours.

These porcupine meatballs are by far the best I have ever had! This recipe was given to my mom when she married back in 1970 — it includes directions for stovetop cooking and baking in the oven. I hope you enjoy it as much as our family does.
Chipotle Bacon Deviled Eggs
These chipotle bacon deviled eggs are a smoky, spicy upgrade to the classic, with crispy bacon and chipotle peppers. Creamy, flavorful bites combine the richness of egg yolks with tangy mayo and the bold heat of chipotle in adobo.

This flavorsome sweet potato chili is a winter dish that warms the heart and fills the tummy! Easy to make in a slow cooker for a hearty meal that's ready by dinnertime. Garnish with chopped avocado if desired.
