This delightfully spicy Alfredo sauce, creamy and rich with Parmesan cheese, gets its heat from Calabrian hot pepper paste. Serve this sauce over pasta, and garnish with more pepper paste if you like.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic cloves , minced
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper paste , or to taste
- 0.75 cups half-and-half
- 0.25 cups heavy cream
- 1.5 cups shredded Parmesan cheese

Melt butter In a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic and Calabrian hot pepper paste. Slowly pour in half-and-half and whipping cream; stir.

Add Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup at a time, stirring after each addition. Cook for a total of 4 minutes, stirring continuously. Turn off the heat. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
