The retro cocktail meatballs in grape jelly influenced this spicy orange bison balls recipe. I took that idea, along with my love of spicy orange beef, and came up with this combination.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground bison
- 0.5 cups plain bread crumbs
- 1 large egg , beaten
- 2 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cups water
- 0.5 cups orange marmalade
- 0.25 cups rice wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Asian chili pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
-
1
Combine bison, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl; form into 24 meatballs.
-
2
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs; cook until nicely browned on all sides, 7 to 10 minutes.
-
3
Add water, orange marmalade, rice wine vinegar, chili sauce, and soy sauce to the skillet; bring to a simmer, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook until sauce thickens, about 1 hour.

Slow Cooker Thai Green Chicken Curry
This Thai green chicken curry made in the slow cooker is super easy and versatile!
Chilaquiles Rojos
Chilaquiles rojos was one of my favorite comfort foods growing up. This recipe with chicken is more like a casserole than the traditional chilaquiles. Great for a potluck or party and you'll get lots of compliments from your guests! It can be made hot or mild depending upon your heat tolerances or preferences.
Cheesy Chicken Bundles
This is one of my husband's favorites, which is good because I love it too and it is so easy to make! I love recipes that can easily be adapted, and this one is perfect because there are so many different things you could do with it. Try it and I promise you will love it! For me the best thing about this recipe is LOTS of filling -- so if you feel like there is not enough, go ahead and double the recipe.
