The perfect main course for salad lovers. This salad uses fresh spinach instead of lettuce.
Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh spinach , rinsed and dried
- 0.5 cups dried cranberries
- 0.5 cups walnut halves
- 1 tomato , sliced
- 1 pound top round steak , thinly sliced
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
Instructions
-
1
Arrange spinach on a large plate. Sprinkle with cranberries and walnuts, and arrange tomato slices on top. Set aside.
-
2
In a non-stick skillet (or a regular skillet coated with non-stick spray) cook steak over medium heat until no pink remains and steak is thoroughly cooked.
-
3
Arrange cooked steak over salad. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top, and drizzle with your favorite dressing. Note: I suggest using a light flavored dressing. Citrus dressings taste especially good on this salad!

Korean-Style Cucumber Salad
When I lived in Korea, I was shown this Korean cucumber salad recipe, made with cucumbers, green onions, and sesame seeds. Goes well with bulgogi (Korean barbecued beef), which you can find on this site!
Delish Sloppy Joes
This is a family recipe that lives up to its name. I love these Joes and haven't found any that taste the same.
Authentic Russian Salad 'Olivye'
This Russian salad recipe is what my mom and grandmother make every time there's a family gathering or a special occasion. Leave out the ham to make this a vegetarian dish. The potatoes, carrots, and eggs do not have to be completely chilled after boiling.
