This strawberry trifle is a very light dessert recipe from my friend Ellen. It's easy to make with cake cubes, pudding, and strawberries for the perfect end to a heavy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix , 5.1 ounce
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 angel food cake , 9 inch
- 4 medium bananas , sliced
- 1 package frozen strawberries , 16 ounce
- 1 container frozen whipped topping , 12 ounce
Instructions
-
1
Place pudding mix into a bowl. Add cold milk and whisk together for 2 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes.
-
2
Layer ½ of the cake cubes in a trifle bowl or other glass serving dish. Layer ½ of the pudding, ½ of the bananas, ½ of the strawberries, and ½ of the whipped topping over top. Repeat all layers once more.
-
3
Cover trifle and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Rice and Quinoa Breakfast Pudding
A warm breakfast pudding with more texture than regular oatmeal. It tastes great the same day you make it, and heats up well for those rushed work mornings. Top with blackberries, blueberries, dried cranberries, raisins, toasted coconut, or nuts.
Monte Cristo Sandwich
I love a Monte Cristo! It's a fried sandwich with ham, turkey, Swiss cheese, and mustard dipped in beaten egg and pan-fried until golden and gooey for a delicious alternative to your usual ham and cheese sandwich. Great with berry jam on the side.
