My stromboli recipe uses premade pizza dough. Kids and adults love this pizza creation. I always have leftover sauce, so I serve it the next day over hot spaghetti.
Ingredients
- 1 package pizza crust dough , 10 ounce
- 0.5 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 jar pizza sauce , 14 ounce
- 1 cup cooked ham , diced
- 1 medium green bell pepper , chopped
- 1 medium red onion , finely chopped
- 1 can mushrooms , 4.5 ounce
- 1 package sliced pepperoni sausage , 8 ounce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.25 cups butter , melted
Instructions
-
1
Gather all ingredients.
-
2
Preheat oven to 400° F (200° C). Grease an 10x15x1-inch baking pan; set aside. Cook and stir ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain off and discard grease.
-
3
Add pepper and onion to skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
-
4
Stir in ham, mushrooms and pizza sauce. Set aside.
-
5
Unroll pizza crust onto prepared baking pan.
-
6
Pat dough to a 9 x13-inch rectangle.
-
7
Lay half of the pepperoni lengthwise over half over the crust to within 1/2-inch of the edge.
-
8
Spoon meat mixture over the pepperoni.
-
9
Top with cheese and remaining pepperoni.
-
10
Fold dough over filling.
-
11
Pinch ends and sides together with your fingers to seal in the filling.
-
12
Poke holes in the top with the tip of a sharp knife.
-
13
Brush with melted butter.
-
14
Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
-
15
Let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Cut into four portions.

Iced Dried Cherry Biscuits
These buttery biscuits flavored with dried cherries and drizzled with icing are flaky and simply delicious. Resist peeking into the oven while the biscuits are baking – biscuits need consistent heat to rise and brown and any temperature fluctuation runs the risk of flat biscuits.
Sheet Pan Honey Mustard Salmon and Green Beans
This sheet pan honey mustard salmon and green beans features both beans and flaky roast salmon in the same lovely honey-Dijon sauce. Sheet pan meals are so convenient, and covering the sheet pan with aluminum foil makes cleanup a breeze.
Chocolate Almond Popcorn
I love to make this popcorn, along with the caramel kind, and put it into large containers for both of my grandpas during the holidays.
