Three Berry Pie
This berry pie is made with fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries in a delicious homemade pie crust.
Blueberry Crumb Pie
This blueberry crumble pie is the best blueberry pie that anyone in my family has ever had.
Fresh Fruit Flan
This fruit flan recipe was given to me by a great cook and great friend. In some countries, such as the U.K. and Germany, flan is not a baked custard dessert but instead similar to a fruit tart, made with a cake-like crust, custard filling, and fresh fruit on top. This recipe is a riff on that style of flan, made with a cream cheese filling reminiscent of what we in the U.S. call a fruit pizza.
Bumbleberry Pie II
I've made these fruit pies for years, and they always get great results and reviews. They're not too sweet, and the fresh fruit flavor really shines through!
Blackberry and Blueberry Pie
This is a delicious berry pie that combines both blueberries and blackberries. You can use fresh or frozen berries. Marionberries may be substituted for blackberries.
Creamy Blueberry Pie
This is one of my favorite pies--not too sweet, good hot or cold, with or without ice cream. Plus, it's easy to make.
Fresh No-Bake Fruit Pie
Fresh berry fruit pie, a wonderful summer treat. No oven to heat! Serve with a dollop of your favorite whipped cream.
Cheese and Lemon Blintzes
Traditionally, blintzes are associated with Shavuot. This is a traditional holiday breakfast for our family. Rolled pancakes filled with cheese, fruit or both, they make a delicious dessert. Sweet blintzes carry on the tradition of cheese and fruit fillings. Serve either with sour cream and powdered sugar, or maple or chocolate syrup. We like to serve them with fruit pie fillings, like apples, blueberries, or cherries, and then put a dollop of sour cream and powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar on them.
Chef John's Butter Puff Biscuit Dough
This biscuit dough is similar to puff pastry but uses a much less fussy procedure. It works great for fruit tarts, ham and cheese turnovers, and chocolate croissants — and of course, plain biscuits served with butter and jam.
Strawberry Rhubarb Drop Biscuits
These strawberry rhubarb drop biscuits are sweet with a scone-like texture — perfect for brunch. The technique is quick and easy and results in tender, moist, and delightfully fruity biscuits.
Simple Double Chocolate Biscotti
These are a perfect treat with a cup of coffee for breakfast, with tea in the afternoon or for a light dessert. Fancy enough for company but simple enough to make every day. Adding coffee granules enhances the flavor of the chocolate. I like to melt 1/4 cup white chips in a quart size freezer bag, cut off one tiny corner and drizzle the melted chips over the top of the biscotti once they have cooled completely.
Mrs. P's Biscotti
This was given to me by my very best friend; it's her mother's recipe, and a wonderful basic biscotti recipe. Very rarely do I make them the same way twice. You can add dried cherries, cranberries, walnuts, toasted almonds, chocolate, white chocolate or cinnamon chips, or nothing at all -- It's good enough to stand on its own. I also change the flavorings and use almond or vanilla extracts. These will keep for a couple of weeks (if you're lucky) in your cookie jar!
