Savory Pork Stew
This is a recipe for a savory stew of pork meat and potatoes that will warm you inside and out. It's great with crusty bread or corn muffins for dipping into the stew and cleaning the bowls!
Creamy Pork Stew
This creamy pork stew recipe is one of my favorite cold-weather dishes of all time. You can add squash, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, mushrooms, or root vegetables β the recipe is quite versatile. Serve over steamed rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
Red Pozole
Rich, succulent, fatty pork combines with sweet white corn hominy in red pozole, an incredibly comforting, classic, cold weather dish that's usually served at New Year's. Whether you call pozole a soup or a stew, it's a satisfying bowl of food, with or without any fixings. Serve with finely sliced cabbage, diced onion, chopped avocado, sliced radishes and peppers, fresh cilantro, lime wedges, and chips or warmed corn tortillas.
Slow Cooker Sausage and Peppers
All you do is brown the Italian sausages and your slow cooker does the rest in this warming dish with colorful bell peppers, rich tomato sauce, and fresh basil.
Easy Brunswick Stew
My family loves this easy Brunswick stew on a cool, crisp fall day. I change the heat level by adjusting the hot sauce used. As submitted, it's safe for the little taste buds. I serve this with honey cornbread.
Tender Pork Stew with Beans
Edamame adds a unique twist (and a great nutrition boost) to this delicious, tender pork and bean stew. It makes a great supper on a cold evening. My family absolutely loves this stew and has insisted on having it weekly since I first made it. It's just as tasty when served as leftovers. It's also a very adaptable recipe, so it is easy to adjust to suit your family's tastes. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does! Serve with rice.
Pork and Black Bean Stew
My Brazilian friend makes this pork and black bean stew recipe for me occasionally and it is fabulous!
Porkolt (Hungarian Stew) Made With Pork
A flavorful stew, PΓΆrkΓΆlt is redolent with the fragrance of paprika and bell peppers. It has few ingredients, and is surprisingly easy to make. Save time by using boneless pork chops and cubing them after they are browned. There should be enough salt in the canned tomatoes to season the stew, but if not, add more to your taste. Use best-quality, real Hungarian paprika for best results. We prefer to serve it with noodles, but galuska (Hungarian dumplings) or rice are good, too.
Feijoada (Brazilian Black Bean Stew)
This feijoada recipe is my version of a traditional Brazilian black bean stew that maintains the rich flavors famous in Brazil. Excellent served over brown rice. Additional meats, including pork loin or smoked sausage, may be added if desired.
Split Pea Soup with Ham
A thick and creamy pea soup that is quick and easy to put together. Peas soak overnight, and ham can be purchased pre-cubed at the store.
Pork and Squash Stew
Hearty, savory winter stew.
Creamy Pulled Pork Soup
This creamy soup can be made with leftover pulled pork.
