Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Rolls
These pizza rolls are the perfect game day snack and a winner every time. They'll also bring new life to Friday night pizza for the entire family. Personalize the rolls with your favorite toppings, just not too many, and don't overfill or the filling will ooze out.
Buffalo-Style Pizza
What this pizza lacks in Frank's RedHot, chicken, blue cheese, and celery, it more than makes up for by being a really great pepperoni pizza. I might add, since it doesn't include those things, it's perfect to serve alongside Buffalo chicken wings β you know, at a Super Bowl party, or something similar.
Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza
For this tasty Chicago-style stuffed pizza, a deep-dish pizza is stuffed with cheese, sausage, pepperoni, onions and green pepper. It's excellent!
Crescent Pizza Pockets
Make perfect pizza pockets by wrapping pizza sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni in crescent dough and baking until golden brown.
Quick and Easy Pizza Roll
This quick and easy crowd-pleaser is a recipe my 3 young boys (all under 5 years old) can help me prepare. They love sprinkling the cheese and pepperoni and watching me roll it all up.
Grands Mini Pizzas
Customize individual biscuit pizza your way! These mini pizzas are ready in 25 minutes, thanks to a tasty crust made from refrigerated biscuits.
Pizza Pinwheels
This recipe came from my Aunt when I was about 13 years old. Not only is it good for kids, but it's good for parties too!
Pizza Cupcakes
These pizza cupcakes are a great portable savory snack and a tasty addition to a game-day buffet. They're sort of like a mini pizza, except shaped like a cupcake. Feel free to customize to your family's tastes with additions like ham, sausage, bell peppers, salami, mushrooms, olives, jalapeΓ±os, etc. I recommend not omitting the tomato β it really adds something special.
Potato Pizza
This recipe was born on a night when I hadn't gone grocery shopping, didn't have any tomato sauce or traditional pizza fixins on hand, but I did have a bag of potatoes that needed using. It has become a staple for us since that night (who doesn't love carbs on carbs!?) and has gone through dozens of iterations (with or without meat or fish, adding caramelized onions or roasted garlic as an extra layer, swapping in different types of cheese or omitting the cheese), all of which have been a hit. Because it's so simple, there are tons of things you can add to the mix and have it taste great, but you truly don't need anything other than the potatoes, herbs, and pizza dough. Anything else is just a bonus!
Old-Fashioned Cushaw Pie
Early in the summer, I found an unknown plant growing in my front garden. Thinking it might be a squash vine, I let it grow and discovered cushaws! This type of squash is sweet like pumpkin but very green β they make a delectable pie filling!
Fuyu Persimmon Pie
Most persimmon pies are made as a custard pie with persimmon pulp. This one is made with sliced firm fruit and the delicious fall flavors of cinnamon and brown sugar. Make sure you are using Fuyu persimmons (short, squat-looking fruit--like an orange tomato) and not the astringent Hachiyas (large and acorn shaped).
Carrot Pie
This carrot pie, with its sweet cinnamon taste, has been in my family for at least five generations. This pie can be served with dinner or as dessert with whipped topping or ice cream. It's a must-have at our family Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers (but good any time!).
