Pork Agrodolce
Agrodolce, a generic Italian term for any type of sweet and sour condiment, really shines when used for braising chunks of succulent pork shoulder. This soul-warming comfort food is amazing served on rice, pasta, polenta, or, as seen here, a big pile of ricotta mashed potatoes. I'm not sure if Italians barbecue like we do here in the States, but the sauce very much reminded me of something we'd brush on a rack of ribs while sipping a cold beer.
Cider-Braised Pork Shoulder
Chunks of pork shoulder cook low and slow in an apple cider sauce until perfectly tender and sauce has thickened. This is delicious served over spΓ€tzle or buttered rice.
Slow Cooker Beer Pulled Pork
My recipe for pulled pork is simple: 1 can of beer, a 5- to 6-pound pork butt, seasonings, and a bottle of barbecue sauce. My beer choice is Shiner Bock, and my barbecue sauce choice is Sweet Baby Ray's. Just put it in a slow cooker before you go to bed, and when you wake up the magic has happened. See for yourself! Serve on onion buns or hamburger buns.
Crispy Pork Carnitas
This carnitas recipe features fragrantly spiced cubed pork slow-roasted in lard until crispy on the outside and soft and succulent on the inside. Pile some on a warm tortilla, drizzle with braising liquid, and top with salsa, onion, and cilantro for the world's best taco.
Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Barbeque
When you make this BBQ pork roast in the crockpot, be sure to have extra buns on hand because people will keep going back for more. It's excellent the next day for leftovers. Serve this slow cooker pulled pork with your favorite coleslaw.
Cuban-Style Roast Pork
Fragrant, savory, and succulent Cuban-style pork roast the whole family will love. Serve with cumin-scented black beans and mashed sweet potatoes.
Irish Boiled Ham Dinner
I grew up eating this boiled ham dinner on Sundays when I visited my Irish granny. One thing that makes this recipe special is that it calls for a smoked ham or smoked pork shoulder instead of corned beef. A yummy smell will fill your kitchen as this cooks!
St. Louis Pork Steaks
If you are from St. Louis or have relatives here, you know about grilled pork steaks! Mmmmm. This is a family recipe that my whole family enjoys. I hope you will as well. The seasoned cider vinegar leaves pork steaks nice and juicy.
Easy Oven Pulled Pork
This is my grandmother's no-fail pork recipe and it produces tender, moist, rich meat. Pulled pork is so versatile-use it in sandwiches, tacos, stews, and pasta ragu. Or make it ahead of time and keep it in a slow cooker for BBQ sliders. A great, inexpensive option to serve at a party. My favorite way to eat this is on a bun with lots of tangy barbecue sauce and slaw.
Pork Carnitas
Mexican carnitas made with pork shoulder, braised with lime and spices for a delicious, distinctive flavor, then baked until fall-apart tender with crisp edges. I get requests from friends and family to make this pulled pork recipe repeatedly. Serve with warm, fresh tortillas and salsa.
Bigos (Hunter's Stew)
Bigos is a traditional Polish stew using pork, kielbasa, and sauerkraut β great for a cold winter's day. This recipe is well worth the time it takes to make it!
Maple-Mustard Glazed Pork Chops
This boneless maple-mustard pork chops recipe starts with a dry rub before broiling to perfection, then brushing with a maple mustard glaze. Adjust the amount of pepper for your taste. Tangy, sweet, spicy, delicious!
