Spaghetti Squash
Spaghetti squash is roasted with veggies, feta cheese, and olives to make this surprisingly tasty side dish or vegetarian meal. The roasted flesh of spaghetti squash comes out in long strands, very much resembling the noodles for which it is named.
Boiled Chicken
This boiled chicken recipe is a wonderful basic recipe for many uses. Boiled chicken meat is called for in many other recipes.
Country Fried Squash
This fried squash recipe was my grandmother's and it actually won a Blue Ribbon at the Tennessee State Fair! Be sure to use fresh squash, I use butternut but other squash like yellow squash or zucchini would also be good.
Acorn Squash
My family loves acorn squash when I cook it this way. It's soft, sweet, and buttery. Perfect for fall or holiday dinner.
Kugel
This sweet kugel is made with egg noodles baked in a creamy mixture of eggs, cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese. This delicious fluffy casserole is topped with Graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter for a rich and delicious Jewish holiday dish.
Old-Fashioned Apple Dumplings
These are the apple dumplings my grandmother used to make: warm, flaky, apple-y sweet, and drizzled with a sauce baked right with them. They aren't difficult to make, just a little time-consuming.
Potato Pancakes
These traditional potato pancakes are wonderful comfort food. Crispy outside, tender inside, and perfect served with applesauce, sour cream, or roast chicken.
Air Fryer Potato-Apple Latkes
Use your air fryer to cook up these delicious potato-apple latkes and serve as a side with your favorite mains.
Halloween Sugar Cookies
Tender sugar cookies couldn't be easier. Just roll into balls and flatten. Customize them for any event by sprinkling with appropriately colored decorator sugar or sprinkles. Or frost and decorate.
Halloween Mummy Cookies
These coated chocolate cookies are frightfully delicious! They have been a long-time favorite in our house during the Halloween season. I found this years ago published in the local newspaper. I still have the clipping, but cannot give credit to its creator/author, as none was printed in the article. Great family-time baking project; the kids love to help form the chilled dough into the mummy shapes, with clean hands, of course! Great for Halloween, but we also use this dough for Xmas candy cane and wreath-shaped cookies, too. Have fun!
Apple Crisp Cookies
Apple crisp cookies, moist, chewy and best served warm. They were my first invented recipe.
Chocolate Halloween Cookies
Yummy chocolate frosted cookies with Reese's® Pieces. Perfect for Halloween.
