This balsamic chicken recipe is a tasty, easy-to-make dish — my husband loves it. Sometimes I cut the chicken into strips and serve it over pasta.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cups chicken broth
- 0.33 cups balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herb seasoning
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 4 skinless , boneless chicken breast halves
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
-
1
Gather the ingredients.
-
2
Whisk chicken broth, balsamic vinegar, sugar, Italian seasoning, and garlic together in a bowl. Place chicken breasts in marinade; let marinate for 10 minutes on each side.
-
3
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade; reserve marinade. Place chicken in the hot skillet and cook until browned and no longer pink inside, about 7 minutes per side.
-
4
Pour marinade into the skillet. Cook until sauce thickens slightly, turning chicken breasts over once or twice, about 5 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of a chicken breast should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

This buttermilk syrup was my grandma's most coveted recipe and we had it every time we went there. This is always a special treat and French toast with this syrup is one of my favorite breakfasts!
Philly Cheese Steak
An Asian-inspired version of a Philly cheese steak — thinly sliced steak is cooked with onion, cheese spread, and a splash of teriyaki sauce, and served on sandwich rolls.
Western-Style Baked Beans
My husband does not like baked beans but can't get enough of this Western-style dish. They are loaded with a variety of meats and get a little bit of sweetness from molasses and brown sugar. If you don't have a slow cooker, you can bake them in the oven until heated through.
