This simple chocolate chip muffin recipe makes 12 generous muffins, that are soft, tender, and not too sweet. My kids love them — you might want to double the recipe!
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 0.5 cups white sugar
- 0.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 0.33 cups butter , melted
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line with paper liners.

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.

Stir in milk, egg, butter, and chocolate chips until combined.

Pour batter into the prepared muffin cups.

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean, 15 to 20 minutes.
