Spinach and Banana Power Smoothie
A vegan banana spinach smoothie that is quick, easy, and surprisingly delicious. I make one of these tasty treats for myself every morning for breakfast, and it powers me all the way until lunch. I love the mild sweetness of the banana, but if you want it sweeter you could add sugar. I've also added different flavors like ginger, cinnamon, apple, or any number of ingredients. Raw vegans can substitute raw almond milk for the soy. Feel free to experiment with different versions, and enjoy the pure energy that comes from eating fresh, good-for-you food!
Green Onion Garlic Naan Bread
I am going to show you how to make naan Chef John-style—when I want it fast and I don't want to use yeast and wait for a dough to rise but I also want it just as good as if I did. While I originally tried this method to save time, it produces what might be my favorite style of naan. It really is incredible whether you use garlic and green onions, or not. As naan are made, they must be stacked and wrapped in a kitchen towel to keep them soft and supple.
Chicken Alfredo Heart-Shaped Pizza
This pizza is a breakaway from the traditional red sauce pizza. Homemade Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, spinach, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese pair beautifully on this pizza. While homemade dough is always a plus, feel free to use store-bought pizza dough (I prefer Winco® pizza dough). Perfect for 2 to share.
