Cheesy Ham and Corn Chowder
This ham and corn chowder is a Sunday night family favorite. It brings to mind a picture of a cozy, kicked-back wintertime family meal, enjoyed cuddled up around a roaring fireplace with plenty of warm food, good cheer, and loving friends.
Easy Chocolate Mousse without Eggs
My husband and I honeymooned in Paris two years ago. We were on our way to see the Eiffel Tower when it began to rain. Quickly, we hurried into the first cafe we came across. We ordered chocolate mousse for dessert. To say that it was divine would be an understatement. I knew I wanted to recreate that dessert for my husband when we got home. Serve in wine glasses for a nice touch.
Trio of Mushroom Soup (Cream of Mushroom Soup)
Had this cream of mushroom soup at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island during a wedding; came home the next day and recreated it to the best of my abilities. After tasting it and then adding the cream, I decided in the future to just remove the cream altogether! It is a fantastic soup that works well on cold winter days.
