Inspired by the delicious dressing on the grilled chicken salad at TGI Fridays, I created my own version. Drizzle it over anything that needs a refreshing burst of flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 medium jalapeno pepper , seeded and coarsely chopped
- 1 clove garlic
- 0.75 teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
- 0.33 cups honey
- 0.25 cups lime juice
- 0.25 cups packed cilantro leaves
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- 0.5 teaspoons salt , or to taste
- 0.5 cups extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
-
1
Pulse jalapeño, garlic, and ginger in a food processor until finely chopped. Add honey, lime juice, cilantro, vinegar, and salt. Pulse 3 to 4 times to blend.
-
2
Slowly pour oil into the processor with the motor running until dressing is smooth. Taste and season with salt if needed before serving.

Dave's Coleslaw
This is a recipe I have worked on for a while and I think it is just about right. It goes well with just about anything from fried fish to hamburgers, and is to die for on a pulled pork sandwich. If you are going to use it with Q, reduce the amount of dressing you add to the cabbage so it's not too sloppy. For best results refrigerate over night to allow flavors to marry.
Chocolate Coated Peanut Butter Crackers
Peanut butter-filled crackers dipped in chocolate and decorated with candy sprinkles are a decadent treat to have on hand. Store cookies between layers of waxed paper in cool, dry place, or in the refrigerator. These freeze well.
Lobster-Vanilla Bean Bisque
Typically sweet vanilla adds surprising depth to this creamy lobster bisque.
