This frozen key lime pie recipe is very easy to make, light, and not to mention delicious! It's a great summer refresher. Be sure to use only fresh eggs for this recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs , separated
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk , 5 ounce
- 0.25 cups Key lime juice
- 0.25 cups white sugar
- 0.25 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 prepared graham cracker crust , 9 inch

Beat egg yolks in a large bowl until very light and fluffy. Add sweetened condensed milk; beat until doubled in volume. Beat in lime juice; refrigerate yolk mixture until ready to use.

Beat egg whites in a large glass or metal bowl with an electric mixer until foamy; gradually add sugar and cream of tartar, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold egg whites into yolk mixture until well blended; pour into crust and freeze. Serve frozen.
