This hashbrown casserole is absolutely the best hash brown dish I've ever had. It's my friend's grandma's recipe. Kentucky grandmas sure know how to cook!

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen hash brown potatoes , 2 pound
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup , 10.5 ounce
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 container sour cream , 8 ounce
  • 1 cup butter , melted, divided
  • 0.5 cups chopped onion
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes

Instructions

  1. 1

Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. 2

Mix hash browns, Cheddar cheese, condensed soup, sour cream, ½ of the melted butter, onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Transfer mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  3. 3

Sprinkle cornflakes on top, then drizzle with remaining melted butter.

  4. 4

Bake in the preheated oven until sauce is bubbly and top is golden brown, 1 to 1 ½ hours.

  5. 5

    Serve and enjoy!
