- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.75 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
-
1
Preheat pizzelle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
-
2
Beat sugar and eggs together in a bowl using an electric mixer. Add butter, anise extract, and vanilla extract; beat until blended. Add flour and baking powder gradually; beat until smooth batter forms.
-
3
Drop a spoonful of batter onto the preheated iron. Bake until golden, about 45 seconds. Carefully remove pizzelle and cool on a cooling rack.

Chef John's Hot Sloppy Joe Dip
For me this checks all the boxes for a hot party dip. It's relatively cheap and easy to make, but maybe more importantly, it's great hot, warm, or room temp. And it's also incredibly versatile.
Baked Chicken Burgers with Mushrooms and Spinach
Try these baked chicken burgers in the oven as an alternative to hamburgers! Added mushrooms and onions give great texture to these burgers, with a little amped-up flavor as well. With buns and traditional burger fixings, or with your own twist, put a little something different on the table tonight.
